How do you detect a VPN or proxy?
By classifying the network the IP belongs to (VPNs and proxies exit through datacenter/hosting networks, not residential ISPs) and checking it against known commercial VPN ranges.
What's the difference between datacenter and residential?
Residential IPs are assigned to home connections where real users are; datacenter IPs belong to hosting providers and are far more likely to be bots, scrapers or anonymized traffic.
